I came here with only 1 thing in mind and 1 thing only!! We came for the House special with is their classic 24 hour broth with filet mignon, brisket, oxtail, bone marrow and crispy breadstick for $26! If the bone marrow scares you, definitely order their classic Hanoi style pho with your choice of 2-3 meats for $19 or $22! For anyone who is a noodle soup fanatic, the truth and soul of any place is in their broth and the first sip of broth always speaks VOLUME to the amount of hours, care and love the chef has invested in it! When we took our first sips of the broth...it left us all speechless with blank stares at each other! This was one of the cleanest broth I've ever had that also packed a strong punch of beef flavor! Then pairing it with the fatty rich bone marrows that just glides across your palate as you slurp the rice noodles! After you're done with the noodles, you can dip the crispy breadstick into the remaining soup to soak up every last drop of deliciousness and I guarantee that you'll want to do that even if you're full already! I would without a doubt come back again and again with my friends as the weather gets warmer!

I was almost convinced that all Vietnamese food in nyc was overpriced and bland until I tried Hanoi House. While the portions are a little smaller than most, the flavorful broth more than makes up for it. Service is friendly and efficient and the ambiance is casual. My friend and I both enjoyed the classic hanoi style beef with two meats. The rare filet mignon and brisket in my pho were tender and the tendon in my friend's pho was really good. The pho also comes with pickled garlic and house hot sauce which takes the pho to the next level. I can't wait to come back for more pho and try their pig ear salad. I'm glad I gave Vietnamese in nyc another chance.

I chose this place because my friend and I were craving Vietnamese food and it had a great rating on The Infatuation. We went on a Saturday at 11:30 and were not disappointed! The decor is quaint with its exposed brick and indoor greenery. Felt just right for lunch date. The staff from the check-in to serving were courteous and accommodating. My friend was running 5-10 minutes late and they were able to adjust our reservation time. Our server knew my friend's dish would have spring rolls, so suggested great alternatives to having spring rolls as appetizers as well. I'm glad she did! I got to sample the spring roll from my friends this and their Papaya and Pig Ear Salad. I didn't see any papaya chunks but the overall salad was quite tasty! The Braised Beef Bahn Mi was really good too. I liked that it came with a little bowl of pho broth. I got the best of both dishes :) Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and would recommend for anyone willing to go the St Marks area for Vietnamese food.

The broth initially lacked depth and flavor (it felt a bit too pure at first). However, after mixing in the spicy sauce, pickled garlic, and especially the bone marrow, the broth came to life! It was lightly rich, which made it super soothing. The meat was tender, the way I like it. The breadsticks were yummy, but I wish they had a separate sauce for them. The pig ear and papaya salad was a bit too salty for my liking. Both coffees were amazing!! Overall, I would go here with the intention of enjoying yummy noodle soup, not necessarily for a pho craving because I personally prefer a stronger and bolder broth with a ton of bean sprouts, cilantro, and other herbs when it comes to pho. I will definitely be going back when I'm having a soup craving of some kind!! I didn't have a hard time getting a table, but you may need to wait in line on a busy weekend. The vibes are cozy and cute.

After being in search for an authentic Vietnamese spot in NYC after moving here, this was the first spot that I went to. We got reservations (and I highly recommend doing the same) and got seated immediately. Service was very friendly here and quick. When I went, I got the salad rolls and the bone marrow pho with the fried dough on the side. The salad rolls were a good portion and it came with a peanut sauce that paired perfectly with the rolls. The pho itself was also delicious, and definitely Northern-style pho. The broth was clean, light, and there were chili and garlic to pair with the pho. The bone marrow added so much flavor, so I highly recommend getting it. We also tried some cocktails here and it was great! Pretty solid spot for Northern-style pho.

This review is for weekend dinner. Had a reservation for 2 people - no line, but tables were consistently full and restaurant is pretty small. Not likely good for groups 4-6+. Overall this is a solid spot if you're craving pho. Broth tastes really good & traditional, but doesn't come with all the "typical" fixings (bean sprouts, basil, lime wedges, Hoisin, etc) and some of the meat options are limited (eg: no meatballs), so if you want a truly traditional experience I wouldn't necessarily recommend. I ordered: -Papaya & Pig Ear Salad: don't be nervous to try this - it's really good. Salty, savory, slightly tangy, crunchy. You can't even tell it's pig ears - they're deep fried and delicious. -Classic Hanoi Style Beef: I got the filet & brisket. Recommend.

Situated at 119 Saint Marks Place, this inviting establishment captures the essence of traditional Vietnamese cuisine while offering a modern, trendy atmosphere that welcomes everyone—from famished foodies to casual diners seeking a heartwarming meal.

At Hanoi House, the rich tapestry of Vietnamese flavors dances across the menu. The standout: their renowned Hanoi Style Beef Pho. This aromatic dish features a meticulously crafted 24-hour black Angus beef broth, served with banh pho rice noodles, and adorned with fresh herbs and pickled garlic. As a reviewer, I was immediately enchanted by the layered flavors, each sip warming both the soul and palate. Be forewarned, this isn’t your typical pho; it’s a unique Hanoian interpretation that artfully avoids the typical garnishes, bringing the broth's character to the forefront.

Appetizers shine just as brightly, with offerings like the Crispy Spring Rolls, stuffed with succulent crab and pork, and paired with classic nuoc cham for a zesty dip. The Papaya & Pig Ear Salad is another culinary joy, delivering a playful crunch and zesty sweetness that invigorates the taste buds.

In Conclusion: Hanoi House is not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of Vietnamese cuisine, a place where every dish tells a story.
